The yacht microwave lcd panel was shaky, all we could do was hit a minute plus could never see anything on the screen. Well it died would not respond then cycled on and off. So we are trying to remove it. So far.................View attachment 145848

The sucker will not budge I know there needs to be screws somewhere but no clue where, have not found the access from below. The carver FB group is having a good laugh on this one. They do say there is a access panel behind the love seat, so moving it today see what we have. Others say screw removal is by feel they are hard to find. Oh well in the end it will be gone. Hubby threatening to take the sawjaw to it!
:O

can't be afraid to make a mess sometimes, JDub; trick is knowing when to move forward despite the naysayers. Quick lil story; back in the mid 80s, a few years after being married and renting apts, houses, decided to BUY one finally. So, looked around and the only houses we could afford were in not-so-great neighborhoods, so came up with the idea maybe I could BUILD one for similar money to what we could afford. So, made the plans, went to the bank and asked for a construction loan. They flat out told me no. I asked why and they said I couldn't build it for the amount I wanted to borrow.

Now, ifn I was addy's hubby, this would be the moment SHE and YOU says; ah, better not make a mess and 'blow the whole thing up'!

I decided the bank peeps were wrong and went forward, sawzall in hand, so to speak! I quoted the bank as needing $55K to build a 2 car garage, 3 bedroom 2100 sq ft ranch on property I already owned. I made one design change to a 3 car garage (which rippled through the house, increasing the sq footage now by 400 sq ft) and when I was done building, it cost $65K. I guess I was actually right to grab the sawzall, hey? Wouldn't have had this house otherwise if I'd hesitated on what I believed. Sure, I've made other decisions that failed, no problem understanding us men aren't always right to plough ahead, but again, you have to do what you have to do, as a man, sometimes.

When it is something you both want to do it makes it an easier decision :)

We moved into our house within 24 hours we had dropped two walls, The kitchen was one of those tiny L shape things, dark . My kitchen in AZ had a 12 foot window. Years later we finally finished it tons of cabinets, granite counters. After the 3rd or 4th brand new kitchen for a rental I told him our house is done next no option.

After several years of refusing to photoshop pictures. I now look at it as a step of art to the photography adding a little twist to the photo or highlighting what's not picked up by the camera. So seeing as the kids have all flown the coop and I actually had some free time I went for it with Lightroom and a new pc. Prices are just stupid with what we are doing to our selves. So I went back and picked out a few pics to see what I could do with them, and I surprised myself. So I thought I'd share with the critics here and see what your screens see . That's one thing I found after trying three different monitors is the color variances it's crazy how much they differ

Now see my hubby had to stop me in the beginning of all this pond stuff as I would have built a lake on our property way back when I was younger and a real warrior w/a shovel!

GB; I've never really been a huge fan of 'altering' pics, though do admit (and use in post) software which helps pull out detail out of shadow where necessary. It helps me not worry as much when just taking the pic as with RAW, you have that latitude. The ones above, without knowing/seeing the original, I just take for what you presented and I like most of them. The ones where you HDR'd, that's not my cup of tea. Nice for what they are and as you know, art is subjective; what I like, others may not. That's just the nature. But glad you're having fun learning new tricks/things and getting something out of your pics (again!).

I remember the time my wife and I were on our honeymoon and we could afford Hawaii. I was dying for a palm tree silhouette against a sunset. Well, I TOOK a lot of pics but maybe the season/weather wasn't on our side or true to the various images I'd seen onine and in mags, but I never got 'that' shot. So, enter PS and all it's magical tools. By the time i got done, oh, I had my silhouette against a red/yellow background, clouds included, ocean doing its thing.

Probably the number one piece of software that has given me the most enjoyment, HAS been Photoshop, but I'm more into creation of book covers, animated gifs, poster art, and image composition ala the recent Warrior Queen JDub, above. It's come in handy for design work for the pond and yard. I design hockey jerseys to be custom made, along with some shirts and custom tees. I've used it to composite layers for video intros, though by no means an After Effects type setup. I've had old pics I've recovered and fixed, from the 80s, turning film into digital. I've used it to actually preview what a room would look like painted/wallpapered a different color etc. Even once put different hair styles in for my wife, just to show what $100 was going to get/do to her. And of course, tweaked pics of the kids growing up to be framed and hung (the pics, NOT the kids!).

Btw, did you use PS or Lightroom to do the adjustments? PS is more for image manipulation with Lightroom more for photo manipulation on a more limited basis and geared toward actual photography. There's a big difference in purpose. Just curious.
