Spent the night on our new boat, this am they finally took off for Annapolis. We had to do a few things before they could leave. Right now part way up the Delaware bay, docked for the night. Tomorrow, hopefully they get to Annapolis. And maybe we can head for the rental on the beach, on Sunday, were supposed to be there today. My neighbor and I drove back to Frederick his am.

That is a beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one few people know what's involved. Very jealous i'd be heading for the Bahamas for a year then make my way across the panama canal.... hey i can dream ....

WELL! The rest of the ongoing story....................... This is called boat ownership...................
Our boat left NJ, hoping to get to MD. Had to be towed into Fescue area, NJ side of Delaware bay. Fighting the current, waves, winds, got too low on fuel, went to fuel up, went into a marina, tried to, got grounded. On the correct track, the bay was 5 feet below normal. That drained the tanks trying to get loose. By the time Boatus came, our boat was floating but now out of gas and towed them into Higbees Marina. Ok get fuel and keep going tomorrow. Find out there is no fuel available anywhere near. Boatus guy trying to figure out a fix. Might need to drive over and bring the guys back, leave the boat there. No clue right now.
They are freezing, in a boat ice box, no power, no gas for the generator = no heat........................luckily our temps climbed a bit just in the low 40's right now.
Blue x was the start, red circle the end of the trip.
Sorry guys no where near the bahama's right now!

Luckily the planner organizer, me, had our car stuffed with bedding, blankets, extra warm clothes, snacks, fluids Two large pizzas. So they can wrap up and not totally freeze.
And a bunch of phone charging battery packs!

Dear hubby called yeah! He had called boatus, our ins co, told them the guy dropped them off on a slip that was 200 yards from the fuel dock. The guy gave them real attitude, ie are you stupid etc. So now boatus sending another tow boat, will tow them to the fuel dock, I hope free...………… so we don't lose all of our tow coverage. Hubby will be calling when they get on the water running again. Hope in about a hour. We might be able to leave for our trip tomorrow......................back to packing for that

And now another part of the story! Our boat driving buddy, sitting at the dock sees a guy walking around. Asks where can we get fuel, the guy said get over to the fuel docks you can get fuel. So right now they have been towed over there..................fueling up!
The guy he talked to was the OWNER OF THE MARINA, he went and turned on the fuel dock for us!
Yipppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 1133.78 worth of gas!
