Sorry if you took that as something negative toward you it was hard remembering when i lost my dad 30 years ago now and how he was gone but all the things were there motionless it was hard to deal with . He had died suddenly. Time heals all wounds right.
Nah not at all, my skin is not that thin, it was just a response. I have a lot of stuff I really like, I just don't want it to end in the trash, just pass it on even if free. Tons of tools, I love my tools.................... We are trying to get down to a few hammers rather than 15 lmao.
My mom was unhealthy for quite a while, actually died in a nursing home. My dad lived another 9ish years, he passed at 89.5. One of my sisters was the executor, he wanted me to be it, but at the time I lived in AZ had a full time job, would not be able to handle his house here. He lived in that house for over 55 years. It turned out I moved back here one year before he passed. We moved him in to our house two weeks after we got married (he was really struggling being alone in his house) passed on 9 months later. He was so afraid of nursing homes our house became his nursing home. 24/7 care. I had his medical power of attorney, which was good as they tried to remove him from my care.
Long story shorter, the one sis, executor, moved into the house for over two years, my dad's stuff (nothing real valuable) poofed away. 7 kids still around in the family. long story even shorter, the majority of the fam turned against me accused me of stealing dads money (paid his bills for years via bill pay from AZ) well now that I was in MD I was "stealing" his money not paying the bills for him. Even a lot worse things said, still don't speak to a lot of them it was horrible. Beyond horrible. In our family of 8 , 7 left I am the only one comfortable financially. The death of someone in a family either draws you closer or explodes a family, ours exploded.
Lets put it this way, my neighbor is my executor, we have hubbies 3 boys in part of our will, I have some friends in part of our will. Siblings not mentioned.
