Did a quick search, apparently my snake pair were plain bellied water snakes. They prefer frogs to fish, but that tells me I can expect some in the pond, at least occasionally. So it looks like I'll have to buy or grow my fish to " too big to eat" size before putting them in the pond. Considering I may also end up with bullfrogs, probably best to do so at least at first. Once I have baby booms, I'll just catch the fry to raise up to save the best of the bunch, and I now know better than to hope to add guppies to the pond to start it.

Worked on rerunning the cam wires, tearing up a part of our deck we never finished. But quit, it went from 65 yesterday to 88F today. Winter to summer in two days. Even had to turn on the AC

it's breezy here but 90 and humid, taking a break. I picked up oil and a filter for the truck, and limestone Dbase to top the soil under the yucca and agave. i have lots of nice pebbles to cap that off with too. First to get the bermuda out. Last thing I want are weeds under thorny stuff

Got home, kinda in a grumpy mood. Tired, headache, rough week, and I still have tomorrow before I get a day off. Then I sit down and am attacked by these two! Skydiver is small enough to curl up on my foot... Freckles decided to attack my pants, then Skydiver tried to climb in my shoe... she almost made it too!
As a side note, we’ve found three pair of water snakes mating in the yard this year. No clue why, when we’ve never seen them mating here before.

Watching it rain while I type w/the heated back roller chair massager making my back feel wonderful! Then off for a wet walk. Will keep an eye out for a wandering bear that has been visiting our area lately. Looks like he/she is trying to make it's way to our Ebey Mtn just east of us. Not our house, just a photo of the mountain. That house below burned down a few years ago.

Got my deck veggie garden planted. Tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, beans and herbs. Still have to plant planters at bottom of driveway and get seedlings put in butterfly garden. 56° so not great weather for working outside with major arthritis flairup going on.
