6 inches of snow here today...SO FAR, it's still coming down.
Snow at this time of year isn't all that unusual, but that fact that we haven't thawed out once yet is very unusual.
I guess this is climate change.
I'm going to be stocking up on firewood during this summer big time.

I hear that if el nino develops this year it could be a doozy.

Obviously it's Itsy Bitsy in Canada, and Eensy Weensy south of the border. The Eensey Weensey is probably Australian. Glad I could help! :) Now if someone would fix the smilies/smileys!

I love that spider song, I remember singing along with that song when my sister's kids were small.
Trying to rain right now, and wind is howling cold, but we are still above freezing at 45 degrees (+7 Celsius)
Cheer up Mitch, soon the monsoon rains will wash away all the snow and leave a pile if muck! ;)

But even on television and movies it was always itsy bitsy....it can't be only a Canadian thing. Maybe its generational? I don't know.

My hubby says I'm crazy cuz he says he never heard anything but Itsy bitsy also. I looked on the web and the popular version is itsy bitsy by far. Where in the heck did I pick up the other version? Somebody in Scotland said they learned it Eeensy Weensy but then somebody else in New Zealand said the other one and on and on and on it went all over the world.

Then this version popped up:

Lyrics as described in 1910 as being from the 'classic' "Spider Song":[3]

Oh, the blooming, bloody spider went up the spider web,
The blooming, bloody rain came down and washed the spider out,
The blooming, bloody sun came out and dried up all the rain,
And the blooming, bloody spider came up the web again.

SEEEEEEE I TOLD YOU!!!!!, it has always always always been the itsy bitsy, I have no clue where eensy weensy came from.....and I have not heard that older version, I can only imagine how disturbed those poor kids must be.

NICE! Right now we have 4 fruit trees in the backyard, a cherry tree, an apple tree, a 4-variety pear tree and I believe a plum or peach tree. We are thinking of adding a few more, possibly apricot and im not sure about the others....I only wish figs grew here, its my favorite fruit .

Darn smiles are not working again!!!
