We do get a lot of sunny days here Colleen. But can get a week or two of clouds too. In arizona we would run out of the building if a cloud came or it started raining, just to see it, always had sun and lots of it.

The deck thermometer reads a little higher because it gets the sun, but I'll take what I can get.
(That's celcius, btw)
The fern is outside because it has scale....

Neem oil works for scale. I have gotten it on a few plants now and then, you do need to do a good over all spray.

Thanks.
I actually have neem oil. I just wanted the ferns out of the greenhouse.
It's too early here for natural predators, so I cut the ferns down to the dirt during the winter because of the scale but it it still on them.
I'll keep applying the neem oil while it's outside though.
I was applying rubbing alcohol and rubbing off the scale but it's tough to get it all on fern leaves.

Dudes it must have gotten over 70f here today. Says 68 right now. I spent the day cleaning the pond and filter and making a screen for the top of my waterfall filter to keep the little plastic bottle caps from jumping out into the pond. Man it was warm here..............yahoo......................mountain dew
