Oh come on you guys up there in the Northlands.............in a few months you will be sweating your butts off and complaining that it's too darn hot. Besides that I thought all you Canadians up there were rugged woodsy people that could take on anything from Grizzly bears to the frozen tundra.......................now come on and buck up men and women of the NORTH ..........................put on your beaver pelts and bear coats and quit your whining

Snowing, coming down like super fine icing sugar powder right now.
Middle pond where the heater is located, has a large open hole now, much bigger than the small finger sized holes I had yesterday.

I should have another glass of wine... at least it is not too cold, I am getting all tough now, it is minus 17 Celsius, 1 Fahrenheit, and that is starting to feel warm after the last two nights!!
Going to make special Popcorn infused with liquorice liquor... too many long cold nights up here, now I discovered how to infuse the gee butter with liquor to make the ultimate Liquorice Popcorn!!!

Snowing buckets at home, looks like 4 inches so far and it is supposed to drop 8 more today. Glad this is not next week when we are driving north, looks like our temps head into the 40-50's next weekend, so we might be safe from another snow event for our drive

Going to be sunny and 78 here

well - rollercoaster of a weekend -
81 on saturday ( i chose to wear long sleeves and regretted it later in the day when we were out looking for new koi)
74 on sunday at its peak - wearing short sleeves - then plunged in a matter of 2 hours to 44 and overnight to 26
this morning it was 26 and howling with wind on my way to work...
Hope the fish are OK - the water FELT warm at 7pm last night compared to the air temperature - how quickly does a 3ft pond cool down at its deepest?
Hope our plecos make it - didnt expect this really cold snap and didnt want to stress them again by taking them out of the "cage"

That will sure wake you UP!

But, I am sure your fish will be fine, the water won't change temp very fast and your cold snap probably won't be long lived. :)

RAINING and warmer. This rain is going to be plaguing us steady for several days possibly causing severe landslides. Hope the trees stay up and power stays on. Wednesday and Thursday will be the worst
Smilies are working just fine now John :)
