Holy Toledo and I don't know what it's like there in Toledo but it is freezing cold here in the single digits at night now! We don't get this cold hardly ever but here we are sitting right in the thick of it for several more days of Arctic temps! Sun is out right now and up to a balmy 15 f.

Yep that is my tomato growing spot. If we try to grow toms outdoors they always get blight from rain hitting the dirt and splashing up on the plants. Toms grow very well inside that cozy house in Summer. I used to grow other stuff and start flowering plants in there too but then I got the lazy bug

A little over 10f here now. I love the snow but this cold is brutal and my bones are not used to this!

In the 20's here and got a great big huge dumping of snow during the night! Think we must have a foot of the white stuff now. So pretty, love it all!
I am happy

have you shoveled it yet? Have you 4' drifts of snow on either side of the driveway for a month or more, yet? Has your snowblower crapped out and that shovel is laughing at you yet? Has the snot dripping out of your nose froze to your mustache yet? Can you still feel your hands an hour into clearing the driveway yet? Are you seeing visions of summer and cursing yourself for cursing the blasted heat of July yet?

Okay, I feel better...LOVE your snow, O' Queenie! Enjoy! Glad it stopped moving across the country toward the great lakes, yep, very glad. Feel free to have the light stay on red for, oh, say, the next 2 months, hey? Don't think you'll be borrowing Dime to hike on hout of the Castle and fetch your firewood fer ya; ain't gonna happen. We gots our camp just the way we likes it and don't need the extra overtime, thank you. Nuh uh; just mosey on back to that lil throne room and hit up ol' addy fer more snow-clearing funds. Good luck with that too; last I hear, you weren't on the Budget Committee, either....

Nope we don't get that horrid Michigan weather back here. Our weather is mild and when we get snow it is a celebration for a lot of us. We did all that stuff w/the cold back when we lived in Michigan for 2 years. That was enough for us! You would shovel off the walks in front of your house and during the night the plow would shove tons of feet of the stuff back onto the walkway!
Couldn't even go for walk in the stuff as 10 secs out there or above would freeze you into a solid statue

I don't need no slave to do my wood gathering for me. I can do it all and I do as King hubby is laid up w/the gout for now and can't really do much. He's on the mend somewhat now and I will gladly give him his duties back when he's able. As for the snow, we don't even usually bother shoveling snow much here as it will all be gone soon. So no fuss no muss. I'll be out walking in the stuff today. I will be the only one around here who does tho as I was yesterday.
