Got the bees moved! No stings. I picked the whole log up, carried it over to the tree I picked out, set it in, only one bee came out to check on things. River is still climbing.

Be careful, they crawl in mass at night, very fast
I was more worried about the loss of their lives, it’s such a small hive now. I did see they are building new comb, so I’m presuming they have a queen, hopefully one that can lay new eggs and increase their numbers. I’m thinking the cool cloudy weather combined with gentle movement prevented them reacting.

If they are building comb, they have newly emerged nurse bees. Watch for pollen on the legs of the bees coming home. That tells you they have brood to feed which ='s having a queen, maybe.

Make a pan with some 1/1 sugar water put in about 1/2 inch, fill the sugar water with grass stems, hay stems, so the bees can land and not drown. That will give them some easy to get to food.

Everything is in bloom! But the flood will wash most of the nectar and pollen away, aside from my flowers on the porch, so I’ll try offering them some near the hive. I’ll put in some rose heads too, just floating.

I’m contemplating getting roses for them with most of the petals peeled back, my roses are water logged, the blooms are mostly closed due to water saturation of the petals.

Oh and I found a baby red eared slider today! And the duckweed had fish in it. I counted 5 little fry swimming around in the pleco tank!

Good lord, it’s summer weather, but spring time to critters. Baby fish, tadpoles, turtle, a litter of kittens, and a maybe pregnant dog. Good lord, next I’ll be finding baby birds and bunnies! Writing of kittens, that reminds me. I’ve got a slow one. The other 4 have had their eyes open for a few days, 6 I believe for the calico who’s eyes were the first to open. This boys eyes are barely open at the inside edge. I’m concerned he may have an issue. No gunk, no sign of infection, eyelids look normal. There’s a condition where they eyes are undersized, and they tend to be blind, but I’ll give him another week and watch.

low to high 80's during the day and 50 's and 60's at night with open windows yet the house stays cool and need no air conditioner on .Saving money everyday how great is that .A little rain but not much last night ,but Danville got a severe storm .Just enough rain here to pull weeds and dig up a couple of rocks that are peeking through the soil .Finally got to the pond for a few minutes .The trees are still being cut up on the hill and it is getting balder up there

It’s chilly and wet. But they say river should crest today and start dropping a bit, but more storms are coming.
