Northeastern P.A., we got icy type snow last night. Maybe 10+ inches, then freezing rain over that early this morning.

Checked the pond late morning. It's been cold here for a while so It has been iced up and now it's covered with the snow and freezing rain. I was a little Leary of the new API pond breather, but it looks like its working because the snow is thawed around it. It's my first time using it. Over the past 9 years I've used a K&H pond deicer. I switched to the API to save on electricity.

My fish are confused! I shut down my pumps yesterday to prepare for the arctic blast we are getting tonight. Have 100w heaters running with cables for camera & lighting running thru them and breathers in both ponds. 1500w heaters are in but not plugged in yet. Hoping I don't have to use them. The fish are out swimming around as it was 50 degrees this morning and got up to 54. Now 29* with wind chill of 19.

Well, the clouds started moving in right as it got dark. About 90% cloud cover now. Occasionally, the moon peaks through. Four hours until peak eclipse.

I see no stars out in the sky. Doubt if I will see the eclipse or even the moon at all.

Things have changed and now cloud cover is down to about 30%. Full eclipse is in about 80 minutes.

It's snowing out. I had no idea it was supposed to snow today. Hoping there won't be enough to shovel.

Snow's in the forecast through Thursday, and then temps drop down to single digits again on Friday and Saturday.

Thank you for the photo @JBtheExplorer it was too cloudy for us to see it. We got a little snow yesterday followed by sleet and a freeze, so now everything is covered in ice. Got to 3F a little while ago with temps dropping again today. Wind chill minus 30 last night, here is a pic of currant wind chill.

A bit chilly at 36f but we will warm up. Missed the eclipse last night. Clouds were out but I hear they parted at some point but I got tired of running in and out.
