Record breaking heat 90f

Sunny and close to 70 today, love it!

The storm that stalled out north of us should be be soon. Expecting a bit of rain, strong winds, maybe hail. If it had hit earlier, or were to suddenly kick up, there’s a chance for tornadoes. Ah, lovely Oklahoma, where things like tornadoes are just expected, hail can be grapefruit sized, and yet all I can think of, is I hope I get my plants in on time! Oh and I’d better move the car.

The cold front has brought storms with absolutely beautiful lightening to watch. I love storms.

It rained, it rained hard today, great for the lawn and the plants, but I am still sad because I don't have my liner in and I could have been filling it with rain water.

sunny again and in the high 80's which I suspect will get into the 90's .I have been just to busy to enjoy the weather .They say thunderstorms for this weekend .

Put out new table and chairs on deck............................Summer is coming

Oops, again, I impulse bought! Bad Jamie! I tagged along w dad to town to get eye drops, ended up buying the drops, plus two hazelnuts on sale, and a water lilly, and pizza for dinner.

Hazel Nuts grow wild around here. I bought a Contorted one for decoration.

Temps of 74f, so nice!

Record breaking heat, 91.5 today

We need more. Two will be a good start, but I’d like to get about a dozen, more as a visual screen than for the nuts, though I’ll be eating plenty of them! We like the house to be hidden, and I can see it to easily from the road. Also looking at pines for the north side, they’ll be a good winter wind block.

Up to 5 leaves on the mystery water lilly in the pond. The one I bought today is a Cherokee, and if it blooms I’ll be happy. The last one I bought from that company turned to mush, but.... if this one fails, I’ll get my $ back. I saved the receipt! I planted it, put it in my grow out aquarium with about an inch of water over the container, so it’s about 4” deep. If it grows, I’ll deepen the water, then cap it off with grave before moving it to the pond. First pic is the mystery lilly, second is the new one all planted.

Spring feels like its finally here! Birds are singing, grass is turning green and buds are slowly opening up and i have a couple trees with small leaves!! Soon all the trees will have leaves!!!
Had such a nice day sitting outside of Meadowland in the "Memory Lane" garden outside my sweet mommy's door...

After 90 yesterday, our temps dropped into the 40s this afternoon. It felt like winter again!
