You seem to have a fear of the unknown.
I would be happy to set you and your family up with a real estate agent so you can spend a few winters up here.
A minus sign in front of the temperatures you post would not be the end of the world.
You could start with some visualization techniques while you're still down there.

@MitchM It's not so much a fear of the unknown but rather a heightened sense of "oh heck noooooo" when it comes to cold.
While a minus sign might not be the end of the world, boils and the plague are thought of in the same vein. And I respond with NOPE to them all....
The only freeze I like is a good frozen Margarita. Lol

They used to do it in NJ but not here and when I checked all the fluid levels in the cars ,hubby's truck was low on antifreeze and mine had no windshield washer fluid .I always use the rain x kind .It sheds the water off the windshield and keeps the windows spot free .

I could just see T up there all bundled up falling down because of the layers of clothes and rolling around trying to get back up on her feet .

you can keep it JW 82 degrees here and sunny and so pretty out .I really only like to look at snow for an hour then it can go away

76 here today, 15F above normal.

it is almost 6 pm and still 82 degrees but it is lady bug season invasion and they have bitten me so many times in the last week

Could be in the teens Thursday night into Friday morning.

We hit 30°F last night, which was officially the first temp below freezing this season. We're at 35°F right now.

57 degrees already this morning and they say rain here but so far nothing just cloudy

About 40 here now...was colder before daylight. Might get some snow tonight. Ick!
