Does anyone have one of those automatic whole house generators that runs on propane (i.e. Generac). Thinking of looking into that.

Yes. we have a Generac whole house 17KW generator.
It's great - it runs once a week for 10 minutes automatically on a direct plumbed natural gas line.
I don't give power outages a second thought any more.
The longest outage we've had is 3 days. It ran with no problems.
I installed it myself, bought it from Costco.

Looks tempting. We don't loose our power a lot, but when we do, it can be anywhere from a few hours to a few days, and we've had 3 times when we lost it for over a week. Where we live, the amount of households in our area, and the way the power lines come into our area, we are not a priority when it comes to fixing power outages. We are usually somewhere near the end of the power company's list.

Same here. The breaker on the power pole in our yard is at the end of a line and supplies 7 other residents in our neighbourhood.
I've actually met 2 of our neighbours since we've lived here.
It's only been 9 years, lol.

Snowed all night, still snowing, supposed to stop overnight. Ten inches or so before it ends. I'm going into hibernation now! :(

Our weather is gross! It's hot! 73 degrees and overcast. If it were sunny, we'd be sweating.

The time is about two hours off, and the temp's off by 7°. How do I ditch it?

@HARO Go to your account name at the top of the page and it's on your signature page. Just highlight the weather stuff and backspace it all off.
