I sure was hoping for more that a inch that is almost totally gone now.......bummer.

Cold today then heading back up to the 60-70 range then back down. No clue on what this will do to our bees some are brooding like it is spring some of the hives are acting like it is still winter.

So sad safe America has gone bye bye .We need to stop now or it will get worse .I remember when people were proud to have a job and now all they want to do is live off the system and get free ride off all of us tax payers .Then more people come here for the free ride .

Thanks, John. Not sure about other areas, but we didn't get as much as they were predicting. Wind is strong with below freezing temps today. Looks like we could get another inch or two tonight.

Lots of wind today but at least it's not raining. Please keep the trees up. All that thawing and rain is really making the ground soft. Here comes the sun, yay!

Hope everyone in the North-East survived the storm.
John
We just got a trace of snow.

Horrendous winds.
A semi was blown off a bridge near Baltimore, they saved the driver, but he died on the way to a hospital.

Supposed to be around 45°F today, nothing too cold in the forecast.

The long-term trends suggest we may not be seeing any major snowstorms for at least the next couple of weeks. Hopefully after that, Spring will start taking hold, but who knows. We're at that potentially frustrating time of year where Spring could start the first week of March or might not until mid-April.

How horrible @addy1
The winds were whipping something awful here yesterday too. No trees down around here and did not go for my walk outside. I walked around the house for 2 hours straight inside listening to my audio book on my iPod. My name is jw and I am a walking addict :shy:

Frozen rain, sleet and a bit of snow...2-3" with upwards of 1/4" of ice...probably means a good chance of loss of power in my area. Just fired up the 25+ year old generator to make sure it is running OK...just 2 pulls and it was roaring like a lion! We have a transfer switch so we can power the fridge, well pump, furnace and few lights/outlets here and there. Not luxury, but still comfort when the power goes out.

Does anyone have one of those automatic whole house generators that runs on propane (i.e. Generac). Thinking of looking into that.
