Out weeding today again ,why do weeds still grow in cold weather .Got up to 61 degrees .

42 degrees and supposed to be 56 today and rain about 3 am .Birds need to stop dropping weed seeds on my property colleen

And here I am climbing up a ladder to put a couple of shingles back on the carport roof that blew off today with the strong winds .Thought I was going to get blown off it a couple of times and roofing goop no fun either

Well I won't be posting them much longer. We were trying to sell the house we are staying in, just FSBO, zillow. Have had lookers, the winter peeps coming in now, it would sell.
But the president of the association came by, he had a couple that wanted to do a short term rental see if they like the association. And at the end of the short term possible purchase. So they wrote us a check for 8k, they are moving in on 1/8 we are moving out on 1/7 A week to drag our tools misc junk out of here that we don't need to clutter the rooms with.

We had just finished replacing two bathrooms, one entire kitchen on some rentals dear honey bought before we married. The older renter never told us it was falling apart. We could not let him live that way.

After new stainless appliances, (dishwasher still has the film on it) Still some trim work to do, but that can wait until next trip, new cabinets, new counter, new floor. Very small weird sized kitchen, had to cut some of the cabinets down

New bathroom, his sink had rotted through, he was afraid to say anything did not want to be kicked out. A bit of dementia old age paranoia.

We had just declared ourselves on real vacation time, ie do what we want work done and...............we have to pack and move lol.

And since we are in a cold spell........................59 right now...............we decide that was cold and we need to head back to warm Maryland...................34 currently.

Arrange to send his christmas pressie up to maryland. He had been looking for a c5 corvette, down here no salt damage, rust, compared to Maryland, well the day before Christmas he found one to look at. I went with him and said NO not worth the funds, but the one sitting next to it..............WOW not a scratch, ding, worn spot on it. 65k miles. 2003 So I went back to the dealer and bought it for him. 6 on the floor. He is in love..................with the CAR! lol

Now back to the weather! We will only hit a cold 66 today................get the coats mitts scarves out!

The biggest issue was the size, we had to find cabinets we could pick the right size from. And we wanted light and bright, the white ones looked lame. The place is small, a 1 1, the kitchen is the around 8x8. We did need to cut down, resize a few. It has two sliders to the outside, but is dark inside. mainly due to the paint, sort of a pink tan and filmy curtains over the sliders . Once he is gone we will re paint, re do the flooring etc. Or we might tackle next year on a trip down here.

My honey loves the car too! He is a collector of the older ones, mainly off craigslist, then he fixes any issues. This is the first dealer old car we have bought.

My sister before she died in 1985 had a corvette and it was a 1969 model with only 8 thousand miles on it .She hardly ever drove it .She had the split roof you had to take off .Not a god idea for a car roof .We sold it and put the money in her daughters trust fund who was 5 at the time .Seems like such a long time ago but such a short time ago .Love the remodel ,but then you and your hubby always do a good job ,so not surprised either .I really like the flooring a lot

We did a quick and easy fix, that is the vinyl flooring from home depot or lowes don't remember which store we bought it in. It is like laminate clicks together.
Easy on a older guys legs, easy on the stuff dropped, easy to replace if damage down the road. We might eventually put in tile................might I think the guy will be there for a long time, the rent is good, ie cheap, the place is secure, i.e. gated, he has been there 12 years. A great gym, huge hot tub huge! a gym, a very large swimming pool, social functions, no clue how much he uses.
We can't sell it is still upside down.

I want cork flooring it is better for your legs and doesn't get as cold as other flooring on your feet .I found the kind that clicks together also .I have been looking at it for years and they have improved it tremendously .Even have colors now .Not cheap but better for your circulation .There are ford retirees down in Florida and they don't like it .They should have rented to make sure they like it but they bought and now can't sell for even what they paid .I just told them you may have to take the lose and learn from it .They are looking at places here .They have been here to visit and could not believe the houses they saw were so cheap .I just got my forms from Danville utilities and from my tax office to fill out since hubby will be 65 this year we will get money off both .

Just got a call from the other house and Mike told me some one shot the horse near his backside and animal control is there now so headed over ,vet is on his way

Hope the horse will be ok. Sounds cruel! Who would be so mean to shoot a poor horse!
