Tell me about it! I just got the motivation to work on mine but nope. I also forgot to remove my pump... hope it does ok (it's turned off. Maybe frozen by now).
it's better if you don't remove your pump for the winter. Don't have it within 'icing' depth, or take it out and keep it in a bucket of water over winter. You don't want the seals to dry out; typical way to kill your pump.
