What does your pond look like ... Today?

Since I was out in 0°F weather watching the eclipse, I decided to get a quick photo of my pond, too.

Pond is frozen solid, I was out yesterday with a pot of boiling water to get the pond breather out as it quit working. Have tried to get it working so I am hoping for the best. Temps today 2F with a wind chill of -25 and a flash freeze on the way again today. Just hoping the pump and waterfall keep the water moving. One evergreen near the pond lost some branch's due to the weight of ice, so I have some clean up to do.

Frozen except where the small pump is running, the birds and deer are drinking there. The pond breather is in the deep end to the right.

So far my pond has not gotten any ice on it at all .The doctor took him all his blood pressure meds and he has to go back this thursday again to see what is going on .I just went on the labcorp sight but his test results are not back yet .I always print them out so I can discuss them with his doctor at each visit .Tara try to find a pond heater .Most farm stores carry them .I now have an extra one after last winter my old ones cord broke after I chased the cat and he hit the cord and snapped it .It was old so had to expect it to happen sooner or later .I bought another one to have at rural king here and it was onsale for 5.99 from 9.99 .I found Murhy's law always happens to me .I hope you can get another one fast .

The pond water is staying a nice 40f at the bottom. The surface is ice covered. But tomorrow it will melt, again.

It's been cool here and the Koi are jumping around excitedly when they see me with food

I saw my fish swimming under the ice last week. Hopefully they're all doing well. There's no seeing them now.

My ice is melting again. But the fish are all hiding in the deep end. I do see them on the cams snacking on the plants.

Trout are circling the surface like sharks this dark morning.

57 degrees this morning ,geeze my trees are really confused .

61 degrees now and close to 1 pm Sunny and rain stopped by 10: 30 am

The weather channel keeps talking about the artic cold all the way down to here .WHERE IS IT .It is a cold 57 degrees now

pond water is up to 60 degrees .I checked it when I came up from spreading mulch just now
