Here are a couple of short videos I took of the puppy in the last week. He will be going to his "forever home" on Thursday, and I wanted some videos to remember him by! He's been a joy, but I'm ready for him to go to his new home. Love him to pieces, but know he has another place that will also love him even more! I think the first one is with Yukon. I didn't mute the video, but this is how the puppy and Yukon play. It's all fun, and nothing mean or competitive. Yukon pretty much lets the puppy do whatever he wants, except biting his tail. And, the end, where the pup goes to lay next to Yukon, I could not have planned that ... and then he wasn't quite close enough, and got even closer. Priceless!!!

This one shows how the puppy learned how to fetch and retrieve his mini tennis ball. I had to giggle, because I didn't realize when I was videotaping why he was leery about bringing it back, until I noticed Grace had come to lay down next to me. He knows all about her front feet batting at him, and even though she has no front claws, she can still swipe him pretty hard!

Enjoy!

He left last Thursday to go to his "forever home". I'm somewhat sad that he's no longer here, but glad in other ways. No longer have to get up in the middle of the night to let him go potty. LOL It was like having an infant in the house again. But, I knew it was only for a short time, so it was worth it. I got attached to him, but knew he was going to go to new home eventually, and was glad to give him my love and affection and help train him to be a good puppy for his new owners. I wish I had taken a pic of the Italian Greyhound, Bailey, that is his new best friend! I bet they are buddies already.

Those video's were darling and it would be very hard to part w/ that sweet baby. Glad you have some nice memories of him and glad he went to a home where he has another pup to play with and be loved.

Did some fall clean up outside today, since it was mid 60's and sunny. Wind was pretty brisk, but you take what you get for November weather! Tomorrow only supposed to be low 50's. Got all the cattails cut back and tossed, lots of plants pruned to the ground or low, including rose bushes, and cleaned out the stream. Parrots feather had gone wild in there, and wanted to make sure no leaf or other debris would cause blockage this winter, when it ices up. Cut back the ludwigia in the top of the Skippy filter, too, so I'll be ready to put the insulation board pieces in place soon. All my flower beds look so much nicer. Was going to cut back the Karly Rose grass, then decided it will help block the north wind, so left it in place. Tomorrow, going to move all breakable lawn ornaments inside for the winter. Some I just don't care to leave out in the weather all winter long, try to keep them looking nicer. So, there will be several wheel barrow loads to move inside. Always fun to bring it all outside and place in different places each year in the spring, though. Thinking I'll leave the solar lights out, though. I sure enjoy them. And, bought a few more for Christmas decorating. Was thinking of putting Christmas stuff up this weekend, but after today, weather going downhill, so probably will wait for another weekend. :blueflower:
Hope you all had a beautiful fall weekend wherever you hail from!

Was not too bad here today and just now starting to rain. Good for you CE working your butt off out there. Wish I had that problem of Parrots Feather taking over. Have a few strands left now and hope they do better next year now that I have placed them away from the churning bubbles of death!

JW, next summer, I'd be happy to send you some good starts. I had so many that I pulled and tossed, literally! I think the first year they just grow roots, and the second year, watch out!!! Same with my water clover, penny wart, and water parsley! I have the PF in my waterfall, too, and pulled bunches of it to take to my sister in WI for her new pond. I think I pulled a wheelbarrow load of other types of plants that went nuts. I have the PF in my waterfall, right in the running water, and also in the stream. Both of those places, shallower water, it did much better than in the pond in a pot. I think they like shallower water.

Mine did real good at first when I had it tucked into the rocks on the side of pond w/ their roots in the water. But then I bought the huge air pump and it blew them out of their spots and they just withered away. I still have a couple pieces left and that would be great to get some more if you have any to spare next season. I'll tuck them in the rocks again at the other end of the pond this time away from the bubbling cauldron.
