Well did you tell him about the ginger as it can cause intestinal problems with some people as it does not break down very fast in raw form

Sorry to hear that mogsie. I have the acid reflux too but no pain. I just felt like I could not swallow some foods, especially trouble w/ meat that I don't chew up good enough.I don't have enough acid to digest my food and I have used a couple of spoon fulls of vinegar but tired of that as it tastes bad. Tried the super enzyme caps and they work pretty good. Now using Betaine HCL caps when needed before a meal. Reflux can be caused by either too much or too little acid in your stomach. Doc's like to hand out Prilosec like candy to use as a band-aid coverup which can cause it's own health problems in the long run. Do some checking up and you will find out lots of info on the subject. Hope you feel better soon!

thanks guys, i dont think it was the ginger sissy, that was just a nibble, apparently my stomach is producing too much acid, so the doc has gave me lansoprazole tablets, that make my stomach produce less acid, and some gaviscon, which is a liquid medication to take when it is bad, its like a acid neutraliser, and he gave me some strong co-codamol and antibiotics for the chest infection, i can eat ok just pains like hell afterwards, doc says ive got to eat small meals until it clears   ime hungry, i like BIG meals,

hey sissy its something ive never had a problem with before, very rarely get heartburn !! hot food cold drinks carbonated drinks all not a problem, this is a first !! hopefully it will clear soon and never raise its ugly head ever again, talking about beer, ive now joined a home brewing forum also, needed some advice regarding the ginger beer i have fermenting, 1st fermentation is over and currently at 6.2% alcohol by volume, onto secondary fermentation now ! i stphoned it off into 5 ltr bottles with some priming sugar, (these bottles where designed for still water !!) went and checked on them and they were like balloons !! had to quickly draw off some pressure, back in the barrel now until i get more suitable containers, !! nearly had ginger beer bombs there lol
