What does NDP stand for, Colleen?
New Democratic Party. (Now nicknamed ORANGE CRUSH) ... cause they just won big and Historic win here in Alberta.

We traditionally were always PC (progressive Conservative) and I used to vote for them forever, but then they had Stelmack who cooked "Alberta's Goose that laid the proverbial Golden Egg" (oil patch work went to Saskatewan cause he taxed the oilfield to death in Alberta... then they had the now infamous Allison Redford and the crap she pulled off got her kicked out of her own party (pc)... now they are saying PC Party is Toast! !

Even though Jim Prentice won his own riding, he is such a sore loser that he quit and Resigned!!! WOW!!!!!!!! The PC Party was telling the press that they would win majority government with at least 55 seats!! WOW !! Talk about miscalculation. ... I know MATH is HARD for you!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..... very few people will get that joke unless you watched their debate a few days ago!! ' (Jim Prentice (PC sore loser) told Rachel Notley (NDP now elect premier of Alberta) during the debate a few days ago.... I know math is hard for you!!!!

I just voted NDP this time but never before. I usually vote for far right. I just was sick of the PC dynasty and how years of being in power has left them corrupt. They dug their own grave and drove me to the far left! We shall see how it goes. I do like Rachel Notley and I hope she will turn Alberta around.

It may be May in B.C., but in Edmonton, it is feeling a lot more like Christmas.

A cold weather system moved in to areas of Alberta overnight, including the Edmonton region.

Social media was flooded with photos of Edmontonians enjoying the snow and even building springtime snowmen.

As the white stuff fell the morning after Albertans voted in an NDP majority government, ending nearly 44 years of Conservative rule, the jokes on social media began to fly that hell really had frozen over.
