@Mike in Vermont neat photo's and so clear. Shows what nice fresh water flowing into a body of water constantly will do for clarity. Hmmmmmmmm, maybe I need to refresh more water into my pond so it will clear up better? I think @sissy 's pond digger Eric was mentioning doing that to ponds.

I'm doing one right now. Pumping out pond water and putting in well water. I wanna see how long the water stays clear.

I can't do major water changes with our well water. The water is too acidic, it would kill my fish.

Hahaha, you boys are hilarious. ;-) I got half inch last Friday, and 3/4" yesterday. This morning my koi were swimming around and checking out the edge of the pond for things to eat. It was nice seeing them up at the top, especially since I didn't expect them to be more active today, since the air temp never got above 42 here today! I think they know that after this cold blast next day or two, it WILL be spring.

I really think that is a Cali. thing JW and warmer states that don't get a lot of rain .I am wondering how Cali. is going to do with this new desalination plant they are going to use to get the salt out of the ocean water so they can use it in there taps .I read one report that states that the way Cali. will use the water that in 30 years if it keeps working they could drain part of the ocean .Makes me wonder if that will happen .I won't be here to see it ,but would hate to see that happen .
