Believe it or not, when the Maytag washer "inherited" with my house 4 years ago started leaking, I spent about $200 to repair it. The repair guy said I would have it for the rest of my life. He replaced all the seals and the leak, everything that may go bad in the future, or so he said. I know, it was his business to repair, but the set I inherited was EXACTLY the same set I had when married, and only problem we had with that set was a new motor or whatever it's called for the dryer. Heating element, that's what it was. And, that was in 25 years! I love the set, dries clothes with no wrinkles, cools down, etc. NOthing like the new fancy ones. But, people I know that got the new front loads had them maybe 5 years and were replacing them, something went bad. No wonder our land fills are filling up!!!

There was a Kenmore in this house in 79.... replaced it in 2002 with the cupboards, and countertops...still worked fine...replaced it with another kenmore, colored to match the other appliances. still works great. so 24 years on the first and it still worked, 11 years on this one, still running strong!...never had either one serviced at all!

dad had a kenmore and biggest problem with it was when it needed repaired they did not make the part any more .I replaced all the parts to get it running and then the hinges broke .They charge to much for there parts since there are no generic parts you have to buy from them .The dishwasher I have now bought it 3 years ago from sears and bought the 5 year service contract and so far they have replaced the pump 2 times and the seals 2 times and the brains once and the keyboard once .Dishwasher is broke more than it works .Thing is guy told me the next time the pump breaks he cannot replace it since they stopped making the dishwasher because of the problems with it .So he said they will have to replace the whole dishwasher with a new one under my contract .I hope it goes out before then.5 year contract .So die soon dishwasher ,die soon ./

We have a Whirlpool D/W which came w/ the new house. It's ok but we do have to rinse off the dishes so I would go for a better one next time. We love our hardwood floors. If I could do it all over I would have every floor in the house hardwood and skip the carpet. If we move again that is what I want for sure.

any one watch Nancy Grace last night .I could not believe what I heard teen driver drunk on drugs driving F350 truck strikes a car on the side of the road killing 4 people and paralizing a 5 th person and goes to court and lawyer tells judge he is to rich to know right from wrong he gets10 years probation and dad will pat out 450 thousand dollars to send him to a rehab center resort .I think the parents should be guilty too .The judge should be taken off the bench and the kid should be charged with vehicular homicide .He has been driving since he was 10 and the police are all afraid of his families power .They even gave the number of the governor to call and demand the judge be removed and something be done .How sad is this world that money buys your way out of murder .A mom and her daughters gone and 2 good people trying to help .SO SAD
