This tablet has a protective cover on it too, but the imprints from typing of the screen for two years has left permanent finger prints where you type....

I don't type on the screen, just use it to move the screen around, very soft touch.Like to swipe right and left to do functions, it is pretty neat. The brand skinomi screen cover is what I use, so far has taken great care of honies tabs. he types on all the time, my phone and should work well with this lappy.
I did go from a 17 inch to a 13 inch, but so far has not driven me crazy. If things are too small just do the finger move and blow it up so you can see what you are doing, one thing I loved about the tabs honey has.
so when I started looking I chose win 8 even with some of the bad reviews about it, to get the touch screen etc. then read update to win 8.1 was free and this one came with 8.1 so far very happy with it, just a learning curve, catching up with 7 yrs of technology, just like when I quit using my 14 yr old flip phone and went to a smart phone............huge jump into the future! well at least the present.

This one does tab, lappy, tent and stand , used it for cooking , recipe on line, so neat how it stands up
