MY LAST TRIP TO WALMART

Yesterday I was at my local Walmart buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Fred, the Wonder Dog and was in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had an elephant?...

On impulse I told her that no, I didn’t have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn’t, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I’d lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is, to load your pants pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stopped to pee on a fire hydrant and a car hit me.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

Walmart won’t let me shop there anymore!

thanx mmanthis

ok these are 2 pics one taken last year with old camera ,should have taken one last night to compare but happened to see this in my files .This one is last night with new camera and even used the night mode on camera to make the pic come out better .I think old cheaper camera did a better job.The old pic is before I moved the filter and rebuilt the bridge

Sissy, if you use "night" mode, you pretty much HAVE to have your camera on a tripod. It leaves the shutter open longer, and if you move at all, it will blur the picture. I've tried taking pics of the moon, but since I don't have a tripod, I have to put it on a deck railing or something, and angle it with something propped under it! Try using auto mode and take the same pic, even without a flash, then with a flash. You will see better quality. My digital takes fantastic pics in very low light with no flash. Keep messing with it, you will learn as you go, as I did. :blueflower:

It came with a mini tripod .I figure along the way I would get used to it .It glows red on the pic at night and says when the camera has adjusted it will take the pic .But seems not to be as clear so gonna take a lot of learning .It also came with a cd for photo explosion .

Put your camera on that tripod if you take any night mode pics and you will be shocked at how clear they will be! Once, I was driving, had a "harvest" moon coming up straight in front of me on the road. Stopped to take a pic. Never did get a good pic, as needed a tripod. My pics looked very blurry, even if I thought I was holding camera perfectly still. Even shut the car off to keep from any movement, placed camera on dash of car, but still could not hold it still enough. It's fun to learn all the settings, then see what you actually use! I have tons of settings on my point and shoot and never use them, or not many of them. Have figured out a few that I WANT to use, though. My favorites, of course, are the macro and super macro modes. Macro I can zoom in to an object, like a dragonfly or hummingbird. Super macro I have to have the camera up close, and works well on the dozens of praying mantises in my yard lately! They are EVERYWHERE!!!! Here are a few pics of them I took couple of days ago.

This one is on the hibiscus plant I grew from seed from Sissy, I planted this spring. See the flower buds? It's going to bloom this first year, and I figured it would take another year before it bloomed! I was looking at the flower buds, and then spotted the praying mantis.
