Big Lou, how is Cathy feeling today? Hope she's doing better today! :)
Actually not good. She could not breath out of her nose last night nor this morning so back to our GP we went. He gave her two nasal sprays which really helped that but now she is running a temperature. Cathy is scheduled to return to work tomorrow so we are both very concerned. Thanks for asking Colleen.

Aside from daily life I am very concerned about the path our President and for that matter our whole Goverment is taking. It's as if none of them give a damn about what happens to the people in our nation. Their priority seems to be which political party is going to come out the on top.

Just saying...........

I'm listening to him now and he is blaming the Republicans and just stated "What can I do?" He's asking for help from the audience! He says we as American citizens have the choice of what goes on here. I'm sorry but I think this whole thing is a bunch of bologna. He is cutting area's where he does not need to cut. There is lots of unnecessary spending out there that would not take money away form health care, housing, or schools and head start or the poor! They throw that at us to make us feel like we are hurting the poor, work on our sympathies so we will spend more of our money on higher taxes. I think I pay enough, actually too much taxes already! Dog gone it, thanks for letting me vent..........I will shut up now.................for a little while anyways

Sissy; You are blaming it on the wrong people. It's the politicians who make it POSSIBLE for them to live on the taxpayers' dime. If people had to support their own kids and do without all the toys, they might think twice before having more kids.

Yup, Sissy, you are cheap! You could be my long-lost sister. I've never had my nails done either, don't wear designer clothes, and have hever BEEN IN a store that sells $400. sneakers!!! However, I rarely enter a WM, we have no more K-Marts here, and our Zeller's chain was sold to Target about a year ago. Besides, they only sell cheap Chinese shoes, which fall apart in 3 months, so I HAVE to spend a little more on shoes.

Hi, Sissy. Yep, my pond is doing great! I added about 10" water last night, another 10-12 this morning and again before dark. I've got another 12" or so to go and it will be full. Didn't want to stress the fish too much with the water coming in, but well water is pretty safe around here. Thanks again for all your help! BTW, the "bulges" that came up under the water where the liner is pushing up (we figured water and/or air bot under the liner when the water was pumped out ... water line came apart!), are going down. As you said, either soaking into the ground under the pond, or will be pushed back up the sides where it soaked down the side when the line broke on the outside edge of the pond. Learning as I go ... here are some pics of last night when I got home and saw the pond was nearly empty, thank goodness for the pump up on the milk crate!!!

The culprit ... the line literally pulled apart, didn't crack and break, so that was surprising.

and then today, after added some more water.
After filled in some last night.JPGAfter first 12 inch fill.JPG
Thanks, Sissy, for coming to my rescue last night. I was so relieved to hear your voice on the phone and so glad you were on your computer when I sent out the SOS PM to you and JW! And, thanks again to JW for calling as well. What would I do without this Forum? I would not have this pond and my goldfish pond. And, as Sissy reminded me last night, "Relax, don't make it complicated." All the fish are doing just fine, BTW. And, I posted pics on my other koi pond thread, so that's why I didn't post them here, but since you asked.... One more fill tomorrow and it should be full and ready to be up and running. Going to relocate the waterfall water line before I turn that back on, though. Hide it in the waterfall itself, so no worries ever again if it breaks.

If you really want to know what's going on with your president goggle. Darpa jump room.

John K.P.
Colleen I googled it and got this:

Conspiracy theory: Obama went to Mars as teen

Two government employees, self-professed time travelers, give 'account'

Forget 2012 prophecies, Mayan calendars and lurking planets that go only by the name "X" … there’s an even kookier conspiracy theory in town, and it has to do with our nation’s fearless leader and his teenage teleportation adventures on Mars.
Yes, you read that right.
It seems that two government employees and self-professed time-travelers — er, "chrononauts" — Andrew D. Basiago and William Stillings have come forth and named President Obama as one of their own, along with the current head of DARPA, Regina Dugan.

(DARPA, if you don’t know, is the agency responsible for keeping U.S. defense up-t0-date with advancements in technology. Begun as a response to the Sputnik program in the late 50s, DARPA finds ways to integrate cutting-edge tech developments into stuff the military might want.)
Basiago, a Washington state lawyer, says that he was part of a time travel program developed by DARPA in the 1970s code-named Project Pegasus. He and Stillings claim that both Obama and Dugan were in their "Mars training class" at California’s College of the Siskiyous in 1980, part of a group of 10 young adults chosen to travel to Mars via a top-secret teleportation "jump room."
They also claim that the then-19-year-old Barack Obama went by the name “Barry Soetero”.
But wait, there’s more.
The two former chrononauts also said that they encountered the future president at secret U.S. bases on Mars, which he is said to have visited twice between the years 1981 and 1983. On one instance Basiago said he even exchanged words with Ob — uh, Soetero — en route to the “jump room” while on Mars.
"We’re here," Basiago claims the young president-to-be said to him.
And the supposed reason for the secret teen task force’s Red Planet expedition? To “acclimate Martian humanoids and animals to their presence,” according to Basiago.
You know, to make good with the locals so there’d be no trouble when setting up camp.
White House officials have denied all allegations of the President’s Martian travels, or the existence of a Mars training class. But, of course, they would.
