Dreamed I received orders sending me to Afganistan.

Sissy, the Sears repairman has replaced almost everything on our dishwasher. Thank goodness for the maintenance contract.

While taking out the trash I noticed the pond is iced over. Frosty, foggy and cold this morning.

yeh I have the contract on mine too and he has been here 5 times and told sears this is it and I will never buy another kenmore product again .I have the contract until 2015 and now they sy they don't make the pump anymore so ,I said replace the pump or give me a new dishwasher .This is one of the tall tub ones with 3 spray arms .I guess the companies do not care anymore about customer care .The LG company has still not gotten back to me and home depot is stepping in and so far nothing .Sears tried to tell me they could not get to me until March ,well that was not a good impression of there repair service and went online to the company websight and they will be here Jan. 3rd now .I hate appliances right now .Bought my front loading duet whirlpool washer and dryer 8 years ago and not one problem ,knock on wood

Big Lou I still dream every now and then that I am still in the army, it's like once you been in the army for so long it's deep in the brain and you never forget that life. I was in the military for 12 years, got out in 2000, and after I got out I would dream I was still there for the longest time. I did love the army too. :)

Colleen I never would have thought of you as being in the military. Maybe it's all that pink you wear
How did you like it? Was your hubby John in there too? Don't know much about the Canadian military and how they do things. Would be interested tho if you care to share :)

< wish my hair would have stayed soft and curly as in the photo. Instead, the older I got my hair took on a life of its own. During intense military years it was cut micro short for easy care. Post military years I wanted a pony tail but that was not to be. My hair is just too wild to play nice. That's me "born to be wild". LMAO :). Rememer that Steppenwolf song?

It's funny how hair is so important to the human being Lou. We spend hours trying to get it just right..........well some do, I pretty much just am letting mine grow right now. I never liked my hair color growing up as it was auburn and I had freckles. Always wanted just regular brown hair and wished I could tan w/o burning. I was shy and didn't want to stand out. Now my hair is more brown and I want my then color back...........never satisfied :afro:

You've got FRECKLES??? My wife has freckles....LOTS of them! She hates them, I love 'em. My dad had a saying, "A girl without freckles is like a sky without stars". Whenever I tell her I love her freckles, I get "Well, YOU take then, then!" I tell her I already have them, they were part of the package!! :cheerful:

Yep got them and guess I will have them till I die! I like that saying of yours about the sky and stars but "I STILL DON'T LIKE MY FRECKLES".
Tried to get rid of them when younger w/ lemon juice,lol..............didn't work!
At least mine aren't as pronounced as they were when I was younger.

OK here is some old pictures when I was a Private, made it to Sergeant. I will see if I can find better pictures some time. Those are some of my shooting trophy's, one was for Top Team Shoot in 1997, and the the other was a Shooting Proficiency in 1996. I was a pretty good shot and the guys would hate it when a girl beat them out!! Back them I was a Resener, before I got married. :)

The first group shot I am in the middle row, second from the right end. It came out blurry, will try again
later.

The second group shot I am in the middle! :)

Wifey's skin tone is so light that she could get sunburned in the car. Of course that was back in the day when cars did not have really good tinted windows. Her dad's complexion was also very light and he had freckles.

Back to hair. Cathy's hair is super fine as is our daughters. For one high school prom Cathy took daughter to get a fancy hairdo. Upon arriving home from the shop daughter stepped out of the car whereupon a strong wind blew her fragile hairdo into one big mess. Mother and daughter cried and cried. Cathy being her talented self came to the rescue. Daughter's hair looked beautiful. That was one expensive lesson. :)

OMG, Colleen, can't imagine having a wood stove where a dishwasher had been! That's a first for me. Good idea, don't get me wrong, just never heard of it before.
I had to play "catch up" here, as my internet was down since last week Fri., and just got back up yesterday. I had to go back 5 pages to read what I had missed! My internet provider replaced something on my outside receiver or whatever that white flat box looking thing is called (maybe radio receiver?). Anyhow, they did a temporary fix, as the real problem is at the tower that I'm connected to. It needs new equipment, which IS ordered and hoping it gets replaced within the next 2 weeks, weather permitting. Then, they promised that my house will be the first to get new stuff to connect with the new equipment on the tower, so I guess I will then have the best of the best! Guess it's a good thing I didn't switch to Verizon last Sat! Turns out Verizon hot spot was not available in my area yet ... all around me literally, but not at my house. I guess Someone was watching out for me ... again! Still going to make them give me a free month of internet for all my trouble this month. I don't think I had internet service even 20% of the time that I tried all month in general.
Way to go, Colleen, on your shooting trophies, and yes, thanks for defending your country as well. You look pretty tough in those pics, I bet the guys didn't mess with you! Very impressive!!!
