What is "and put out mini splendors gate" mean, Sissy? Looking great, love your swing, I know I've said that before. One would look great in my yard instead of the frame I have mine in. :) Does the turtle still have your house number on his shell? I could not see it, but maybe you weren't taking a pic of it! My big turtle decided to come eat with the koi this morning. Funny, cause it's never come to eat the food, although couple of days ago I tossed some into the netted ring that it has been hanging out in. Guess he figured out that was some yummy stuff, and then figured out when feeding time was.
Here's the turtle next to Shamu, so you can get an idea of turtle size, about 7" long. Shamu is about 14" long.

This picture is of the turtle in the middle of the koi. The reason I'm posting this is that the yellowish orange koi on the right is the one I saw spawning this past spring. And the babies I've been seeing that are very different than any of the goldfish babies I've had last year, may be out of her. The second pic is as good of a pic of them as I've gotten, and they are both in the picture, along with a Sanke Gin Rin larger young koi, but one I bought last winter.
Large turtle with koi.JPGPossibly 2 koi babies with Sanke Gin Rin koi.JPG
I know the pic is really blurry, the babies are always on the go, and usually not close to the surface, but can anyone tell me if these may be koi? They have kind of vertical stripes on their sides I noticed this morning, which is also not typical of my goldfish babies I've had. Maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into the fact that I have baby koi. :)
This is a picture of another baby, but I'm pretty sure this is a goldfish baby. Love the long tail it has developed already. It's about 4" long, whereas the babies that I think may be koi are more like 3" at most.

I was watching our yellow finches drink from the stream. Then noticed they were pulling up and eating strands of algae! really neat to see, never thought a bird would do that.

mini splendors gate refers to the little house on the left side of pic 1 and I built it to look just like my house .That was after i buffed the turtles shell so you could no longer see it .I took an hour to buff him down and then gave him a turtle wax coat and he just kept trying to get away and had to give him lettuce and broccoli to keep him still .Then he did not want to leave his food ,kept snapping at me and clwaing at me so had to let him finish it all .Then took him down by the stream with a plate of food .

There's an old sea story about a ship's Captain who inspected his sailors, and afterward told
The first mate that his men smelled bad.

The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change underwear occasionally.

The first mate responded, "Aye, aye sir, I'll see to it immediately!"

The first mate went straight to the sailors' berth deck and announced, "The Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change your underwear."

He continued, "Pittman, you change with Jones,
McCarthy, you change with Witkowski, and Brown, you change with Schultz."

THE MORAL OF THE STORY: Someone may come along and promise "Change",
But don't count on things smelling any better.

and welfare theft and food stamp theft .I have seen it even more now .Sit on your butts do drugs sell your food stamp card for less money so you can get drugs. Two got caught in Walmart took the person in and they filled there cart and after card is used they pay the person that has the card a hundred dollars or so for 200 dollars of groceries .It was set up to catch them .The woman and guy with the card had 8 kids and I guess drugs were more important than feeding them .

Hi y'all,
Hubby just brought. 5 gallon bucket of muskadines in, What with the talk of wine, lol.... I made some last year in my closet in a 5 gal bucket with lid, vented to quart jar of water with aquarium tubing to Release gas buildup! Turned out really sweet and potent ....think I will make jelly this year . Order a muck mop thingy today , now that the water is clear and I can see the bottom good, it is driving me crazy :). Didn't get one of the high dollar ones, but really wanted too. I am proud of my restraint lol! Getting excited now that school starts next week...all three grand babies will be in school, well, sort of, one in perk, one in kindergarten and the baby is two an going to play school! Now mayby I can get some things done that I want to do.:):). Will actually have from 8-2 aloneeeeeee,!!!!!!

What's a muskadin? Would sure like to try that wine, being that I LoVe wine
Happy thoughts of ponds and flowers, and Muskadin wine by the pond, party lights all aglow, going to get a long flowing summer dress with that 1960's "feel good "flower power" happiness! What the heck, it summer, party time for us old folks, means having a glass of wine by the pond and staying up till midnight!! :)
