I never had much luck outside with elephant ears. The only time they did grow big was in a greenhouse for me. They seem to like warm steamy conditions with no wind. They are really nice in the pond too! Had the big black taro inside the greenhouse pond one year, and boy did it get big! Sissy, Looks like your having better success with it outside than me! :)

They love the warm weather here and I have a couple of 8 year old plants that get over 10 feet tall and it is almost always windy here .

BTW, my car never gets this dirty. LOL We were at the Covered Bridge Festival last fall in Indiana, and all the dirt roads had pot holes with water/mud in them. Oh well, best pic I could find in my pic files for the moment. You get the idea.

ok question on my bridge uprights I have stripped screws and i bought one of those kits from sears a sad waste of money as it did not work at all .I tried the saw but can't get the blade angled right .I think they are making galvanized screws terrible these days ,they rust ,strip and break off .Any one have any ideas that might work or a tool that worked for them .

Are you trying to unscrew them with one of those tools that is supposed to be able to do that, even if the head is stripped? They sure look like they work on the TV ads! Geesh, what a joke! Sounds like you are in quite a pickle, good luck getting them out.
You're absolutely right, nothing is made like it used to be! Everything is junk these days. The rate we are going, our landfills will be overflowing before we die, as everything is made to last 2-5 years, instead of 10-25 years like 30 years ago!

yeh and it has a gaurantee and says it removes the screw no matter how stripped they are .The things is it is 4 screws ,if it was one like with the other up rights I could bend it back a forth to get them out .The saw won't go at the angle I need it to cut the screws
