Off on the weather tangent:
Unbelievable weather here. It hit 70°F here in my locale of Nebraska. Second day in January that it reached 70 or above (one day hit 71°). Furnace is OFF and windows are open and it is 73° inside. I even have a fan running as it was warmer earlier. I have been watering my new elm trees right now (almost 7 pm) and heard coyotes yelping down in the woods. Pretty cool sound. Awfully dry, though. That is why I am watering my trees. This is a very strange year for weather, especially compared to the last few years.
Big snow in Seattle? Major snow in Alaska and icebreakers needed to get fuel there and it is almost hot here. Very strange.

Gordy, snow all gone here now and up into the 50's maybe tomorrow w/ several days of sunshine...........yippee!!!
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have more snow but if can't will take the shine over rain anytime!

well finaly my winter is upon me, over night it has dropped to -4 celsius, and half the pond has froze over and i have icicles on the waterfall ! sitting out in the garden tonight ! may be -4 but i have my fire on !!
