I didn't forget you!

In this pic I removed the flagstone cap.

In these two pics you can see more how the liner was finished off under the cap.

In the first pic, you can see the red brick on the left. This is what the flagstone was glued down onto. The liner was cut off even with the top of the redbrick. If you look real carefully you can see the white underlayment as well that is under the liner.

The second pic shows the end of a garden edger that was on the pond side. It of course just sat on the edge and held the liner in place, The flagstone cap was also glued to the top of the edger to help hold it in place. These edgers have broken down now after 17 years in the water. Interestingly, the edgers in the top pond are the worse. Those in the lower pond have actually held up and are 95% full intact. About 40-50% of the upper pond edgers have broken down and need replacement. This pond is being torn down in the spring and is being replaced by our new pond.

You also asked about how we finished the waterfall. Here are two pics of the waterfall.

The first pic is from the upper pond looking into where the water exits the upper pond.

The second pic is looking at the front of the upper pond where the water drops off into the lower pond.

I took plexiglass to form a weir and basically just siliconed the hell out of it to the liner. I just left some excess liner at the waterfall spot and folded it into the space. As you can see the plexiglass gets pretty coated with algae and such after awhile. My wife keeps a small brush hidden nearby and once in a while brushes the plexiglass clean. This has held up for 17 years.

My wife wanted the water to flow off the weir some distance away from the wall. When the water is running you can't see the plexiglass even when it is pretty dirty as it is in picture two. Right now we have the water fall into a decorative plastic pot/container in which we cut a second rectangular hole that basically creates another small waterfall into the lower pond.

See the third picture to see.
