still trying to post pictures we can all click on have pond picture size down to 312kb jpeg I cant get it smaller . Tell me i dont have to build a smaller pond to post it in the gallery

You will have to re-size them to about 500 pixels wide to get them small enough with this low limit. Unfortunately that makes the pictures about half page width.

150KB should be plenty for a JPG image - I can't make it any larger unfortunatly as it would take up too much space.

As DrDave suggests, 500px wide would be fine for posting within the forum. If you upload images to the gallery then it should re-size automatically if the filesize is too large.

It means they are in a queue to be checked, but I've enabled them for you - in future you should be able to upload them without this

That means that the file type is saved as something different to the extension... for example a .jpg file saved as a .gif would give that error. Do you get this problem when trying to upload a file to the site?
