My honey's mom had Alzheimer's she always looked at him and said you are the fat one and would giggle. BTW by that time honey was lot skinnier. She was always happy, pleasant. I met her after the onset, she always asked who are you?
She managed to live it for over 15 years. We had nurses taking care of her and his dad in their own home.

She was always happy, pleasant.

It's fortunate when Alzheimer's patients maintain their good disposition. We've had several relatives become very violent, angry and aggressive - totally unlike their normal personality. The families could not keep them in their homes for fear someone would be hurt. It's a sad way to end life.

I have had very little time for myself these days as my mom needs me. She still remembers me but does not sing gospel anymore with me, just a few words at the end of the song if I am lucky. Mother had such a beautiful voice and used to sing in the choir. If i could just hear her sing again...
I made her little room all nice and cosy. New bedspreads and new pictures. Wall Flowers are stuck everywhere. Now she likes her room with little balconey. She is now in wheelchair and cannot walk or stand. Her slipper fell off the foot I see... My sweet Mommy, love her to pieces...

Thanks for all the lovely comments and I much appreciate them. I am very busy with my mom, she is stuck in a wheelchair and very weak these days and sleeps lots. I have U tube for her on her smart TV and I go up and put on a long thread of beautiful music, funny animals and pretty birds and animals in paradise. She loves that and I push her around all over the place and help feed her lunch as well, My mom comes first and everything else comes last.
I did manage to get some stuff done around the house and cleaning fish tanks and trying to catch up with housework and produce a nice pond video as the pumpkins have taken over the garden and the fish ponds look so awesome despite neglecting the yard for a while....

Thank you for the video. Your garden still looks beautiful, I love how the squash took over. It's nice to hear that your Mom has settled in, it must be a comfort, and relief to both you and your mom. Good look with painting the kitchen, picking a color is half the battle:)

You are a good kid to your mom and sorry to hear she is weaker now. Yes we do all have to go through these things in life but God is right there w/us guiding us along. If we never get to meet here on earth I look forward to meeting you and your mom in Heaven someday. Not too soon tho as I'm not ready to go yet!
Your ponds, fish and gardens are all looking wonderful!
