Hello and welcome!

That almost looks like a tarp, and if so, it may not hold up very long.

So, how big is your pond again, the dimensions? Maybe, show us a pic of the entire pond.

I looked up the company and got the thickness- it is 12 mil. Less than a third of regular pond liner.
With the measurments you gave, volumn is about 4800l- 1270gal.
Noticed there is already fish in there. How many koi do you have in the pond?

I looked the liner up too and can't find anything that says what it's made of. That all by itself would make me leery. You may indeed have to replace it sooner than you wish. In the future, look at EPDM+underlay, or HDRPE as they are standards when making a pond. They'll be more expensive than what you have but there's a reason for that, too. Hopefully, you get the full 25 years and we can then add this type liner to our suggestions list. Still wish I knew what material it was made from.

That’s very interesting we are thinking of changing it.. maybe next year now will be a big job but like you said if it’s not going to last it’s better to change it
I might message the company

If the manufacturer is willing to put a 25 year warranty.....there is hope it will last close to that. Did you use the underlayment they rec for the warranty? Folks here are saying it may not last without knowing what it even is..................... It looks like you all put a lot of effort into your cool raised pond! What did you set up for filtration and are they new fish or did they move from another pond? Enjoy! LOL to the white stripes wiping off.

"Comes with a 25 year guarantee against faulty manufacturing when installed with Permalay or Polyfibrelay underlay." Lots of leeway there. And people are making comments based on the fact that it's 12 mil liner, that's all. You don't have to know much more than that. And it is curious that they will only warranty if you use their underlayment. Wonder what THAT costs?

I was tying to be positive. A new member posts the results of their planning and hardwork and some folks jump on criticizing the liner they chose after it is already installed. Even thicker liners fail early sometimes. It is what it is. When it fails, it will be addressed then. It is not so bad that it should be torn out and redone. Comments could be made in a more positive way. I was trying to add positivity and encouragement.
