New pond

Hi we just built a new pond and it’s been set up 24hours we checked the water and got everything right but Iv noticed the pond liner as got some white liners in it as if the black as come off .. I never noticed this before on my old pond can anyone explain why this is ? Please don’t tell me the liner is no good as it’s a big pond ‍♀️

What type of liner did you use? If it's 45 mil EPDM, you got good liner. If you chose something inferior, it won't matter that you have a big pond...

Welcome to the forum!

Do you mean white lines? a lot of time there are markings on the liners that you may not have seen until it was wet.
Hi yes lol my mistake ‍♀️ And yes could be my dad said it could also be where the lining as stretched it’s a 5000 litre pond and it’s on the bottom mainly but there is some Ripples in it so am not sure.
thank you for replying am sure it will be ok the lining wasn’t cheap so hopefully it will be ok

Most every piece of rubber i have bought have had some lines and stamps on them but only on one side. I can see some of yours and they dont look like anything i have ever seen before theres way to much . If its stretching thats not a good thing either as it will rip in time. But it doesnt look like thats the issue going on here either.
Wait a couple months and see if the pond starts to develope the peach fuzz algae and covers it. Or cover it with gravel 3/4 to 1 inch is my choice. Smaller can be moved around by koi to easily

Awww thank you,I don’t think its stretched either we took our time putting it in and there’s ripples. No Iv not seen it before I had a pond before this one and that never did it.
I will see how it goes it’s really bugging me lol

So cover it in stone/ gravel its beneficial to the pond and fish anyways.

I will see how it goes the liner is brown on the other side and got white in between .my other pond liner is black on both sides.
Iv looked again and it’s only on the bottom.

Hello and welcome!

That almost looks like a tarp, and if so, it may not hold up very long.

So, how big is your pond again, the dimensions? Maybe, show us a pic of the entire pond.
