New Pond build, At the Log Cabin

Here are some pics of the ones coming out of QT, Wish I had taken the time to get better pics before i released them, the black Oranda is a really nice fish and i didn't get many side shots of him in the tank. The Black and white shubunkin has been at my friends Mikes place for the last month and a half. We thought it was to large for My aquarium and thought it might eat some of the koi fry. He's been starting up a pond and had about 8 fish in his small QT pond so it's been with his until this afternoon.
The last two are two baby butterfly koi I have been raising from the old ponds fry. These seem to be the best two butterflies for the year so far.

Last pics are few of the fry in the 75 that are left and a nice lily pic of the Lily I got from Addy. I have to say it's probably one of my favorite lilies in the pond.Thanks again!

After a week of delays for weather and such finally the crew got back to work and got the ridge caps and some of the handrails done. At least can get a idea of what it's going to look like, got the 3" skimmer line run and the electricity all finished. The waterfall base formed, new halogen spot light for the patio installed. making a little noticable progress.

6 months this week since we started this whole project up.

Well the pond project came to a slow week. Started working on the privacy fence this past week so the #1 worker has been put back there. Luke has been working on trying to find a finisher for the patio that can make something work within budget. I've been concentrating on getting the sides secure. I got tired of waiting for the overlay or tile or what ever is going to be done so I decided to make the caps out of wood to blend in with the bridge. Although far from what I wanted it will save some $$ and It doesn't look bad and working great. Completely removable if need as well. Also made an extension for the landing so I could service the skimmer.

The patio ended up not looking like it was suppose to. The seal between the two truck loads of cement didn't finish out as expected. After much delay and alot of heated discussions FINALLY got the flagstone to start overlaying the porch and patio. Got the first stones layed in today, Not grouted yet but at least can get a idea of what the look will be.

Went out today and took some pics of the property before Hurricane Issac hits. Several shots from the back where there were only woods when we moved here. Thought it would be interesting to add them as well as the pond in the back will take some change in the seasons to come.

Wow, been a while since I posted in showcase, Guess I got some catching up to do. Here is the pics of the tree that fell during the storm on the new fence! Some of the flooding and the small pond we just built, of course it flooded!

Well finally, I can report that the patio is now done! Finished applying the sealer today. Even the fish were happy to see me out with the camera. Shamu is "O" so excited!

Today got the area between the gazebo and the feeding deck dressed up quite a bit, not finished but MUCH better.

Also finally got around to taking some pics while walking the four wheeler trail down to the deer feeder and out through the sloughs. I think this is the first time I've gotten photo's of back in the woods back to the river.
