A wren decided to nest on our junk pile. I hope mr snake does not find them. I can see 4ish eggs, but the nest is deep and hard to look into. i try not to bother her.

So neat for you to get to see that new baby @addy1
I saw one a couple weeks ago that mama was taking across a road. It was so tiny and could hardly walk.

Well the next thing we watch is a red fox comes out from under our boat back there. It runs out and plays with the yearling deer that is now in the back field, they chased each other. Couldn't get the camera up quick enough darn it.

The cams have great ability to pull in light even when it is getting dark. The deer decided to have a baby and the other deer played with the fox pretty far away, 100 yards or so from the house. The movement was so far away it did not trigger the recording. The fox came out played and ran back in so darn fast.
The new born was gone by then.
Don't tease us!

A 140 acre prairie in Ohio is likely to be destroyed. If any of you are interested, there's a petition we can sign to help protect the prairie. It blows my mind that we're still destroying the most endangered habitat on the planet.

We have 3 or 4 hanging around, they come and go during the day snacking on the bird seed. I have seen three at one time.
They are a really brilliant blue.
Beautiful blue bird!
