My pond runs all winter, zone 2/3

When I look back on my life at all the crazy, insane things I have done I am so thankful there is no such thing as insane asylums......................oh wait there is...............glad I didn't divulge any specifics or I might be in big trouble :spider: and I just always wanted to put that little spider to use so I did cuz I can :nananananana:

Went to check on my pond tonight as I do every night LOL Nice chunk of open water. Fish are still happy, swimming around.

I created this yesterday while adding water to the pond. I wanted to see how the fish were doing in the deep end so I melted a hole in the ice with the garden hose and stuck a glass cup down in the hole so I could see clear. This is what formed when the water froze again.

My pond has a green eye now. The pond has eyes LOL

Yep, it's a pond light that is 3' down on the bottom.

Looks awesome Brandon! Love your pond lights! I should have left my underwater lights in for the winter, they would have looked good under the ice, now I regret taking them out.

I had to have a little nap, had a headache this morning, (never even had one drink last night) which is rare. I took half a asprin and now I feel better. Think it had something to do with the sudden drop in pressure this morning. We were in a very high air pressure system for a couple weeks and then two days ago me and the hubby saw a Sun Dog in the sky, tried to get a picture of it but it never showed up well on camera. The sun dog meant a change in weather and then suddenly we had a big change, had a good dump of snow early this morning, when the headache started.

you know if you look at that brandonsdad it looks like a pic of someones eye .I saw one like it when they showed me pics of hubbies eye before and after surgery

I thought it looked like a eye too. I couldn't get the picture to show it but you can see the formations of the ice crystals in the eye ice ball. It's neat. Have gotten down to a low of minus 1F and still haven't bothered with a heater yet. Have a good amount of open water still. Not sure how but its doing it.

are the lights LED ,I can't remember ,If they are not LED they give off heat
