What! Sissy's got fruit already on trees, must be nice. Next month I should have strawberrys ready by the pond. Just started to rain now. Crab Apple, plum and Siberian Ornamental cherry trees just blooming now. Choke Cherrys should bloom soon. Pink and white flower petals starting to fall in pond.

I picked strawberries at a local farm last week but mine are not ripe yet here .The peaches are about the size of a golf ball right now and plums are bigger than that .White plums ripen before red and purple plums ..I have blueberries ripe on the early one and raspberries are getting ripe .They are all early this year .

Sissy, Tell you what, it you drive all the way to Medicine Hat, then you must really need it, its yours, I'll go outside right now and put your name on it! Ha ha.
I got so much "garden junk" and people ask me, are you worried that someone will steal something? I just tell them that my strategy is to "overwhelm them with so much junk" that they won't know what to take!

Colleen you have some big fish! Your little touches around your pond are wonderful. What is the pot that is on the side in your pond doing? Did you just sit it there for looks.

I tried log on but it wanted a secondary email address and only got one email address, I will look at it later.
Was a weird weather day today. First it rained then the sun came out and started to warm up nice so I opened some Windows for fresh air. Then suddenly it got really cold, the sky turned dark, I could here the thunder and Poppy my dog got scared so I had to comfort her, then the thunder got louder and it snowed like crazy. Thank goodness it melted very fast, but now they say it might freeze tonite. Got to move some tender plants back in greenhouse tonite. That was my day off, got to work early in the morning. Had a nice walk with the dogs just a little while ago at the river, Sun came back out, grass by river is really growing big.

Colleen, you need to start a thread of your pond and so forth! That way we won't be hogging in on Keith's pond thread. :) We'll watch for it in the new stuff! You should be posting lots of pics of your place. You are way behind most of us weather wise, but that will be fun for us, too, to see your yard "springing" into action, while we are in our second month of mowing the yards! Nice to see your daffodils, since mine are long gone.

Pond lover, that little pot on its side is in the front yard pond. There is a pump hooked up to the pot with a hose in the hole in the back of the pot. Then the water runs out of the pot and into the pond, just for a different look. I put rocks in the pot and you can move the rocks to change the sound and flow of the water. Those really big fish are close to 20 years old now, put them in that pond when they were real small, never moved them since, stayed outside every winter here in Canada, now they are very friendly cause I have never netted or moved them ever. They are like dogs and follow me around the pond. They are in the top pond, which is dug down and built up a foot or so above ground.

Look at the rocks, they are glued to the pond frame and then I stuffed moss in the cracks between the rocks. I used this foam stuff called GREAT GAP FILLER, got it at the hardware store. They sell stuff at the pond shop in town that is very much the same, but meant for waterfalls(29.99). I found it was way cheaper to get the stuff from the hardware store (9.99) Worked real good, get the foam stuff that expands greater than 1 inch.

CE, They won 5-1. We left in the 8th inning when it was only 3-1. I don't think many people go to actually watch the game. It's more like a big outdoor tavern that has live entertainment on the field. Colleen you are welcome to share the thread. It's fun to have more people on it!
