Looking forward to seeing the pictures !
@CometKeith do you ever worry about predators....herons etc ?
Haha Tula. I’m actually in the City of Chicago close to the Lake so no Hurons here.... way too crowded with so many people here. We do have Chicago Rats. So far they haven’t bothered my fish, but last I heard they are getting pretty hungry with all the downtown restaurants closed!

So here are some pictures. Its always hard taking shots in a plastic bag. The Showa actually has a lot of red instead of just orange so Im happy about that. The last pic is the pond this evening. It’s supposed to be a lot warmer tomorrow. yey!

They are beautiful @CometKeith ! How many koi do you have now?
Hi Lisa. There are 9 Koi and a lot of goldfish. I’m definitely done with buying fish for quite a while! I took a few more pics today. Overall I’m pretty happy with the pond and fish.

Me neither!
Addy you are too much! There has to be a few secrets in every marriage right? She has an idea she doesn’t get the whole truth, but she doesn’t tell me evertime she buys new clothes either!

lmao.................. my new clothes budget last year was some new undies! My 20 year old ones finally wore out! And not granny panties!

Now if you talk tech, weather stations, smart watch, new dvr system that is a different story! This year I need a new lappy my real nice Dell keeps locking on me, a good computer but it shuts down when it wants to. I changed out all the parts that cause the issue, no good. And the new note coming out, mine will be 2.5 years old, it goes to hubby I get the new in the fall! He doesn't care, I use mine way different than he uses his. Right now he has my old LG v30 still working but slowing down. He got it after the second hot tub fail with two phones. The LG is water proof!

My husband makes his secret McDonalds stops; I buy books on Amazon. Those are our secrets... haha! That's a forty year marriage for you right there - even our secrets aren't secret!

The pond looks great @CometKeith . I'm sitting here watching day two of some heavy duty spawning activity in the pond - no secrets there either! :ROFLMAO:

Whenever my hubby takes off to the store or wherever, I do all the stuff around here that he didn't want me to do. He comes back and eventually notices I have new trees planted, stuff dug out for new paths, ponds, fire pit etc. I haul stuff home that I find for free and hide it till he leaves and then do what I want w/it. He says I am a pack rat but heck, I find some darn good stuff, rocks, wood, furniture, tools, fence posts, anything you can think of I have found it! This all avoids any pre-doing conflict and afterwards I just ignore what he says and say uh huh, uh huh ok I get it and go about my business, lol. They aren't secrets long but it works for me

lol My hubby has man eyes, he really does not see most of what I do, changes etc. Can never find anything in a cupboard even if at eye level and right in front of him. If I want him to notice something I have to point it out!
