Hey ya, like the theme from Deliverance when they really get going! Might scare the beejeebers out of them
But then they may all just join wing in wing and promenade and docey do around my the pond :D

I think that would drive away the neighbors or more likely they would drive me away. I do like the sound of bagpipes personally but not at dawn if I'm still in bed. You would be good at playing them Haro and you shouldn't ask me why ;)

OldMarine,

A suggestion... Determine what species this particular bird is for certian, obviously cannot shoot a blue heron or a whooping crane. Then check with your DNR and see if they can be hunted. If it is a sandhill crane or similar, they are supposed to be delicious. I have heard numerous people refer to them as "Ribeye in the Sky".

I don't think I could bring myself to shoot any of these birds, personally. But, if they were a major nuissance I might be tempted if the meat was good and would go to a could cause and not just be wasted.

If your predator is indeed a blue heron or other protected species, check into the tips listed here: http://fullserviceaquatics.com/blue-heron/heron-deterrents-for-your-koi-pond/ , there are some good ones IMO.

J.W.'s talk radio idea is listed within as well!

It's been almost three years since the original post. I hope Oldmarine's problem has been solved by now!

Well it is about time! Can't believe that I have to come along and bail everyone out like this! You should have answered his question long ago! Hee Haw!

:) LOL! Seriously, I thought it was a recent post! Never even looked at the date stamp on it. That's funny! I suppose this is something that has cropped up due to the upgrade of the forum? Seems that there has been a few instances like this since.

It doesn't matter, though. It is still good info and it is now quite humorous to boot!

I think this old thread thing that pops up now since the changeover is due to new people coming on and seeing all posts they haven't read as new and they just read and add a response which starts the old ball rolling. I noticed that when the first day of the new stuff that I had tons of threads that were listed as new posts but I just marked all read and started over. New people would not be able to distinguish what was old and what was new.
