Do you build that new every year or just leave it set up all the time? I store my food in a rubber maid tote in the basement. Water temp is right around 45* for now. Haven't fed them in weeks.

brandonsdad... i'm too poor and lazy to rebuild a basement pond every year, lol.... no sir, it stays up and ready to go. i've used it for fry, i sell fish out of it. what ever its convenient for. and my water temps are in the same ballpark... i was pleasantly suprised when i pulled out my pieco from the frigid water to find him healthy . tho i'm surte hes happier now inside where the water is atleast 55* all the time.

LOVE all the babies! Would love to claim a few of them if it werent so expensive to ship some!

I know filtration plays the main role, but how big of a holding area are you keeping them all in? I'm having some concerns if our 750 gallon QT will be big enough to over winter our babies, or if I need to cut the numbers more. Last count we had about 130 babies still inside, but planning to evict the comets back outside, but will still have about 10-12 shubunkins, and 100 koi.
