My husband is obcessed with anything that has any type of motor. He can always find a use... The pump on the main pond is from our old hot tub LOL. He'll even save a wiring harness out of a car, he says you can never have enough wire LOL.
Good lord, your hubby and I must be related!!! Tell him if he ever runs out of old motors or wire, just let me know and I'll send him a big box of stuff to keep him going! I'm finally starting to realize that I probably WON'T have a use for that stuff after all. :cheerful:

LOL... I have to laugh. I love it when guys can recycle items. He can always use more motors LOL. This is what he did with the motor out of my sewing machine...
Meanwhile for this year he made a skelaton in a cage, which is using an old wiper motor to reach out and grab at you, and is presently working on a lifesize rattling toe pinch coffin (I dont know what he is using for a motor on that one yet).

That is terrific! The kids must love it coming to your house to trick or treat
Hey you could rig something like that to work over a pond to scare the heron away, make it work off a sensor of some sort so you wouldn't waste power all year or maybe it doesn't use that much power? Make a giant bird of prey swooping around it or whatever!

HOT DAMN, j.w., I think you're on to something there! A large bird (eagle, owl) that swoops over the pond periodically! Could even put it on that old motion sensor I have tucked away somewhere, so it only flies when something comes near the pond. At Halloween, swap out the bird for a picture of M.I.L., and really scare the crap out of the kids in the neighbourhood!!!! YES!!!

She won't mind. Remember, she died on Halloween 2009 when she crashed her broom into a tall tree. :yikesu:

Pray for wind on Halloween. Brooms are notoriously unstable in crosswinds!

Take the thread back even sooner by giving us more pics of your beautiful kids!!! ;-) If you cant, I guess we'll have to wait til Tuesday, but just remember, all this extra chatting is your fault for not entertaining us more with your beautiful kids:)
