Gives new meaning to "patience butterfly, patience".

I just showed my fry to a new ponder that has a lot to learn and anxious to do so. I think he and his wife will be joining us soon. They were going to buy Koi but I talked them into going after feeders to get thier pond established first.

I went ahead and put a light over the fry pond today ,like you got DrDave .
If they can eat 24 hr a day ,,that should & would be good.

I made a divider for my 100 gal stock tank..I made it with 3/8 copper tube so i could bend it to fit the walls ,,This will keep big fry away from the small fry.
Then i make a cover for the whole tank out of 1" pvc pipe ,i put it in front of a heater and bent it to shape..this will keep unwanted guest away from a easy meal...
The wife has to go to walmart and get me some thread ,so i can sew the screen to the frames.. Then i will post a few pics when im done

Copper in the water might cause copper sulphate poisoning. Not sure, you might want to investigate this before leaving it in place for any length of time. I think a few days to a week would be fine however.

Running water that is consummed but not allowed to concentrate, I would not be too concerned about.

In a pond, it can accumulate. Just a thought. I think that copper sulphate has been used to control allgae.

I have heard if you put a piece of copper pipe in your bird bath, it will help with green water..
