Yeh i used nylon rope to pull mine out and keeps baby fish from being sucked in .I did try a pump vault and mucked up to fast also .Then tried one of those sprinkler system vaults around ten dollars not bad but the tote is the best way for me and trying to find a slightly smaller tote but the only place i could find smaller ones is office supply place and they are not cheap so hoping for a sale on them

I got mine at a pond supply store not far from here and yes it comes in sheets or rolls and you can cut it the way you like. Bet you could find it on the Internet or at a pond store near you. Maybe they sell something similar at a Lowes or H-dept but I never looked.
It comes in different colors and different density for allowing different amts of water flow. I used the tightest stuff so as not to allow the little fish to get stuck in it. Both about 1&1/2" thick. I used one of those razor knives to cut it easily. Here's a photo of mine that I used:

This is the one I used in the pot:

Here is the other sparser kind they sell also:

Here's a photo of the thickness of both:

For posting photo's do you see the button on the bottom right side of the reply to this topic box? Well click that and then you will see on the next page a choose file box on the bottom left side. Click that and go to where you save your pictures and choose which photo you want to use and highlight it and then click save and it will start loading at the bottom of this forum and when done loading you click where it says to add it to post. It will be as an attachment bunch of #'s but when you click preview it will show you what it looks like and you can move the attachment also to where you want it on your post. If you try to click on the photo while in preview mode it won't let you see it in the enlarged format til it is actually posted on the forum. Hope this helps.

Sissy, yes thats what I have the one with the balls in the bottom under the 5 filters. I sure did not intend on spending a ton of money on this pond, I did everything myself and have tried to find materials to use that did not cost me. Like my brick around it was given to me and I got a rubber roofing for the liner. Then I read they can be toxic. YICKS!! But if it were would I still have fish from last fall in there?

A lot of people use the rubber roofing for liners, you should be ok
