Lily pads are looking pretty bad so I need to get in there today and cut them back.

I cut my lilies back, they are regrowing and one even sent up a nice bud that opened. But we are heading down down down, so they should stop growing.

I meant Sandy and her husband for breakfast at the Buffalo Cafe in Whitefish yesterday morning. Before she came to MT I told her to bring pictures of her pond, so she came with her tablet. She has a nice pond and some nice looking koi. We were at the cafe over two hours. We not only talked about ponds and fish we talked about our children, grandchildren, pets, vacations, being in hurricanes , tornadoes you name it we probably talked about it. Then they followed me home to look at my pond and we talked about a whole lot more . Had a very nice morning .

It was so great to meet Vickie, mtpond, while we were visiting our son and his family. Her waterfall looked so cool on her bank with the stacked stones. We had a wonderfulbreakfast together and then off to see her pond. Had a great time!!

Today has been a month since I haven't worked. The first two weeks was really weird not getting up and going to work. I had been at that job for almost 17 years. Not quit retirement age but thinking I just might not go back to work.

Today has been a month since I haven't worked. The first two weeks was really weird not getting up and going to work. I had been at that job for almost 17 years. Not quit retirement age but thinking I just might not go back to work.

I was at my job for 34 years, loved my work, then had to quit to move east and marry my wonderful sweetie. Not retirement age by a bunch of years. I kept thinking I would go back to work, well years later, like 6, I finally let my registry expire (a real big deal, once expired you have to retest in all of your registered specialties). I realized I was never going back to work. Life was wonderful without a job to worry about.

I have never thought back and said how I wish I was still out there in the working world..............imagine that

I am getting worn out and need a new body soon! I worked extra hard last night till after midnight cause someone did not show up last night. I wish I was retired and then I could just work night and day on the garden!

Then I could hang out here more and go for long walks with puppies!
