Trying to spend every second of these gorgeous days outside too and yep that moon was glowing last night as I crawled off to bed. We here in the PNW have to make use of all this sunshine before it all disappears

Still getting a lot of smoke here. We do have a couple of fires in Montana but the majority of smoke is coming from Washington and Idaho.:( You look at the mountains and all you see is smoke. :cry:

I have another grandson he was born Sunday morning. So happy he is healthy and doing good. Him and mama come home today. :)

@mtpond
No smoke here but lighting storms are coming again today and may produce more fires here. They warn us it could effect our neighborhoods and not just the mountains. Sorry our smoke is going your way.

@Big Lou yep but in the Mountains to the east of us right now. If the lightning starts up again down here in the urban areas again tho they are saying we should watch out as it might effect our property and homes anywhere the lightning strikes. So we are on guard. So far it has just been hazy all day and now sunshine again w/ no signs of a storm.

We got a little rain last night, it hardly made the ground wet. Today we're suppose to have scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The pond has warmed up so I think it's time to talk hubby into getting into the pond and taking the rocks off two more sides of the pond. :) Then it's my turn to work. I dig the ledge to put the rocks and plants on and then I put the rocks and plants on the ledge. Then I haul all the extra rocks away. A lot of work but it's going to be well worth getting more rocks out of the pond. :)
I went and looked at a friends pond that I had looked at when I was thinking about building my pond. I thought her pond was great but I'm glad I didn't build mine like hers. You can walk into her pond and as you walk in it gets deeper. At the deepest she said her pond was 3 1/2 ft deep or more. She told me that the dirt has fallen in on the sides so to me the deepest point only looked 2 to 2 1/2 ft deep. She has had to replace her fish every year cause they don't make it. This year she had a couple make it. When the ice started to melt she said she found fish frozen in the ice at different levels. :(
