I have mulch delivered, 20 yards at a time, I use so much of the stuff.

That looks fantastic, pl, love your concrete path. So glad your pond is clearing.

That is the same mold a friend used, it's my favoite! Are you planning to put anything in between the stones, once they dry, like pebbles or sand? I think you can even put dirt, if you want to get moss or something like that growing, but the clean look is good, too. Love the look! It really looks neat. And can't wait to see more plants going in there, while you wait for your pond to cycle ... then the fish get to move in. :)

I did put pea gravel in between the stones. I plan on building some planter boxes to put against the house. Previously, when it rained, that area was way to wet and the dogs tracked tons of mud in the house. I am really happy with how they came out.

We are planning on taking the lower deck rail down this weekend. The plan "was" to remove the last section of deck railing and build stairs coming off the low side of deck, but husband came up with the idea to come down 1 step and build a viewing area, probably about 3 extra feet, and a place to put some chairs and really enjoy the pond. It will extend the full width of the lower level of deck. I love the plan and can't wait to start on that. I now see where everyone has said it is never finished.

In the meantime, I continue to read other threads and look at pictures and my mind is in pond overload. :ideacyclops:

Neat, PL! I looked back at your deck to understand the lower deck part, and that will look really nice, and how wonderful to be so close to the pond to be able to really enjoy it from the deck area. I love that mine is very close, too, so totally understand how you will enjoy it. I think most people put their ponds close to a deck, or end up building a deck or patio right next to it to enjoy it more.
Yes, as you continue, plans change and evolve, and it keeps going and going, but you're really enjoying it all, and that's what is important!

No new progress to report. I have ordered some bog plants from ebay and am anxiously waiting on them to arrive. Finally got my water test kit and all levels are within range. Our pond is crystal clear this morning. My husband is a believer now!!! You can see all the way to the bottom.

Took a picture of my plans for the back of stock tank. This area is visible from our driveway and I've been trying to decide how to conceal it. This is what I've come up with. Plan on back filling with dirt and using it as a small flower box. Maybe put some stepping stones and mulch around everything. I appreciate any thoughts on it?
Disregard the dog toys in photo. LOL

Water temp has fluctuated a bit, it goes from 55 - 60 degrees. Pond gets sun ALL day long.
