I've seen 2 snakes this sumner. I found 3 frogs in my garage, transplanted them into to the pond and the next night, they were back in the garage lol

I get toads in my garage. They go in after the insects like crickets or flies that use my garage as a shelter. A garage floor is such a terrible place for amphibians too with everything that gets on the ground; oil, grease, etc.

This is the coolest pic, JB! Assume you have a green light underwater, or is it some fancy light feature on your camera? I know you are a pro with the camera, so wasn't sure. Thanks for sharing it!

Yes my underwater light is green. (y)

Busy night by my pond today. All five frogs are out (Four Bullfrogs, One Leopard Frog), plus three American Toads. This is the most I've seen at any given time.

Love your froggy, I would never believe how much I love seeing frogs now. Still don't think I would kiss one

A pond is not complete without frogs! I'm very nervous about this winter. I didn't have success keeping them alive through last winter (althought I'm fairly sure one did survive) and now that I finally have frogs again, I'd be sad to see them all die over winter.

How will they survive
I am wondering how mine will live also. I just googled the topic and watched a cool video of how they actually freeze then thaw for spring. Here is the link to the page. 1/2 of mine just appeared once my waterfall started running. The bull frogs came with a small hard shell peanut shaped pond I got from a store that relocated and abandoned them. Saved them from the bulldozer and or dumpster with permission from the land owner. I kept most of the water and duckweek from the shell along with 1/2" of muck (grudgingly). Once relocated to my property I set it up 4' away from my pond and they all relocated on their own to the big pond. I will put a bubbler at the pond surface for air and the de-icer.

I don't do anything to help them survive, except clean the pond etc. They seem do to fine on their own, even have ones that overwinter in my small deck pond.

newcomer to the aqueduct is this leapard or pickeral frog; don't know which.

it hangs out near the water wheel

so total count is this fellow; a green frog who's been here 2 months and probably 6 tree frogs, who stay here year after year and never seem to leave

My Boston Terrier likes to go "frog fishing" in the ditch across the road from my house. Today she came into the yard with her "prize", a young bullfrog. I wasn't sure if it was dead or just stunned, but she dropped it on the grass, so I scooped it up, and it appeared unharmed. So, I took it to my ponds and submerged it partway in the stream and sure enough, it "woke up" and scooted to the edge and went underwater. I checked 30 minutes later, and it was in the same spot. Funny thing, she never goes fishing for them in the ponds. I guess she likes to get into the water and fish. :)
Oh, and I know this is for frogs only, but I spotted a 5" painted turtle crossing my driveway, appearing to be headed to the farm pond in the pasture, so I gave him a free ride! He/she seemed to be very happy to get to the water, and once it got to where it was a little deeper, it quickly ducked under and and into the grass.
