How is it a man can spend all the time building it. Sweating his azz off. Design and build it yet the wife rules who what when where
Here wife did all the building, he made a few suggestions, which I did or did not do spending on my mood.

I can still change rearrange all I want. He just watches. Here this wife RULES 😍 they are my ponds!

Wow, the string algae is INTENSE this year. I could be an algae farmer. I'm harvesting 1/2 to 3/4 of a bucket of the stuff almost weekly. Nearly a full bucket today since I got a little behind after getting sick.

In fact, I think it caused a low-edge leak when it built up so much in the lower falls and raised the water level.

a bucket a week? heck add some fish to the equation and that will become a barrel a week. Your just getting the algae from dust, pollen, and swimming. add Fish POOP and hair algae explosion you will have.

I Cautioned the low edges it's too easy for vegetation to grow and raise water levels . even with my negative edge the water can still back up from debris of plants uprooted that don't quite make it over the falls.

hint add a dozen glow fish danios to the pond they only get to one inch and your daughter will love watching them dart around in schools.

Your pond has next to nothing to cycle with, you can't have bacteria thriving on no nutrients. my guess is it could take a couple years.

Well, we have about 1,000 frogs.

A peaceful serenade. That could get neighbors a bit tense.

It’s not peaceful at all. They are ridiculously loud. Can’t even be outside and have a conversation when they’re going.

So far, all neighbors say they either like it or don’t mind it. But I think this might be the thing that finally gets the wife to agree to fish, as I think fish will keep their population in check.

Also, the reason wife gets to dictate fish/no fish is because that was the agreement we made when I started the pond. There wouldn’t be a pond if we hadn’t made that deal.
