I don't like to buy things like that online haro and prefer a store setting also .I can at least return it ,but here the only place to buy 1 is lowes and there pumps use a lot of energy .The fishmate one I bought from petmountain I returned it would not even fill 1 filter .The hose was about 5 ft long total and was a sump pump hose and the laguna at first was fine but an hour after was barely pumping water .I think I get all the defective pumps .So guessing I will stay with the harbor freight one as it is still only using 145 watts and runs great and can actually fill both filters for only being 2150 gph .I use the second pump during the summer so I have more water flow .The hb one I bought in 2010 and cost me 59 dollars because it was onsale and I had a coupon .We do have one garden center here that sells pumps but they are way over priced and they do not sell energy efficient ones and there pumps start at 300 dollars and up .I just think maybe they are just not made very well .I did see a guy here posted in the local paper he is selling Jebao pond pumps starting at 127 dollars but he is over an hour from my house .I may have to check it out since it is a pond store and he has them working so you can see how they work .He is in NC .Warranty through him is extended from 2 years to 4 years .

I know I've posted this before, but under NO circumstances would I ever purchase a Jebao pump! The plastic used is sheer crap, and often won't last a season. I get people in every year asking if I can fix this or that cheap pump, and almost all of them are Jebao. The same goes for their filters, U.V.'s, underwater lights..... you name it. They also make a line of low-voltage pumps often used in fountains, and the transformers usually don't last long. Parts for these items ARE available, if you want to import them by the case from China!! Just a word to the wise.
